WASHINGTON — This past Sunday, October 8, activists from DC Revolutionary Study Group, For the People DMV, and the DMV chapter of Revolutionary Maoist Coalition participated in the “All Out for Palestine” rally and march in front of the White House cohosted by the Palestinian Youth Movement, Students for Justice in Palestine, and the Party for Socialism and Liberation. This rally is a part of the national initiative by Palestinian organizations in support of the ongoing resistance offensive in Gaza.

Despite the short one day notice, more than two hundred people and all major activist organizations attended the protest. Members from local coalitions and Palestinian organizations spoke on the situation facing Gaza. Specifically, they stressed the right of Palestinians to resist by any means necessary, including armed struggle, and the importance of building a mass movement in solidarity with the Palestinian people. Several speakers also highlighted the billions of aid sent by Joe Biden to “israel” and emphasized the tie between zionist settler-colonialism and the US. “Palestinians have been murdered by the thousands and we say nothing. And suddenly Joe Biden pops up and starts teaching us about morality and humanity. Well, screw your morality!” Said Dr. Osama Abu Irashaid, executive director of American Muslims for Palestine, in a passionate speech. Slogans like “from Palestine to Mexico, all the walls have got to go!”, linking the struggle of the Palestinian people with other oppressed nations and peoples of the world, were heard throughout the rally.

As revolutionaries in formation in the United States, we know that a genuine anti-imperialist mass movement can only be built and sustained with roots in the working class and led by that classes vanguard detachment on the path to socialist revolution. It is our duty to develop the revolution in our country through the constitution of the Communist Party, as the best form of solidarity we can offer the Palestinian people: by fighting and defeating US imperialism right here in the belly of the beast!
